Fashion Week in Bellevue (Seattle area) September 29-October 4

Hi girls..if any of you live in the Seattle area, you should check out the Fashion week coming up in Bellevue. The Fashion Week includes runway fashion shows, VIP shopping nights, and many more. The main event of the week is the "Front Row Fashion" runway show. The Director of Merchandising for Vogue, Anne Vincent will be present, and she will share her thoughts on what is trendy next season. It sounds like it's going to be a great event. Don't miss it!

A Designer's Profile: Marchesa

I have been hearing this name more and more these days. The name Marchesa comes from a 19th century eccentric aristocrat named Marchesa Casiti. She was an eccentric Italian heiress, muse, and patroness of the arts in early 20th century Europe. She had an interesting style. She astonished Venetian society by parading with a pair of leashed cheetahs and wearing live snakes as jewellery. Two British designers founded this label in 2004. In 2006, the label was named one of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund's top ten finalist. Some of its well-known clients are Sienna Miller, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Alba. Marchesa also has a more casual and less expensive line, Marchesa Notte. I would definitely recommend you to follow this label. It has very intriguing designs. Marchesa label is sold at Saks Fifth Avenue. Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus stores. It is a very nice gown. It could be a nice wedding gown also.

Summer is almost over...

Summer is almost over..This is your last chance to get away to a beach while you have a chance. I'm taking a trip with my husband to Miami next week. Miami, South Beach, has been our favorite spot for years..We just love it so much, we keep going back there. We love the beach (water is so clear, beach is so wide and long), the Cuban food, the trendy places like Nikki Beach, Delano Hotel, Sushi Samba, Nobu, and Shore Club, and the live music at Jazid, and people watching. South Beach is definitely the hottest beach in the U.S. (besides Hawaii). It is always so lively. This time we want to check out couple of restaurants we haven't tried yet - the Blue Door at Delano and the China Grill are on top of our list.

Project Runway started...

What did you guys think about the 1st episode? Nobody really caught my eye this time. It is probably too early to say. The winner, Christopher's design was edgy looking. But I felt like there was something missing. Maybe it was the color or the fact that I have seen so many dresses similar to it. It looked very Sex and the City-like. Johnny's red dress looked very nice. It is not my style. But it looked very effortless and sexy. Other designers to watch: Irina's (nice flowy nude dress), R'amon's black dress (very elegant but too safe), Logan, Malvine, and Shirin.

Project Runway Starts This Thursday..On Lifetime

Project Runway is one of my favorite shows. The most popular show of the Bravo tv switched to Lifetime TV this year. Don't miss the season 6 premier on Lifetime tv this Thursday at 10 pm.
