Decision made for the Big Night!!!

Hi everyone, I'm back again. I have decided to purchase the Douchette Duval dress posted on my blog on December 22, 2008. I just think it was the most elegant of them all, and I have too many black dresses, not enough pink dresses...And here are my accessories for the night.

Hi everyone, I just came across this dress today on macy's website. It's a BCBG dress, it's on sale for $82.60. It's a silver dress with black trimlines. I think this may go really well with BCBG shoes I just got from macy's online. It's called Wish 2. I got them in black. It's right now on sale for $77. How about this Behnaz Sarafpour dress? It's perfect for holiday season. It's very fun & festive. It's a plum color dress with a huge black bow on top. Normally, it's $1,295, but Saks Fifth Avenue is having a huge designer sale, so right now it's only $310.76. Behnaz Sarafpour has become very popular in the most recent years. She won the Golden Thimble award when she was attending the Parsons School of Design. She worked for great designers upon her graduation such as Richard Tyler, Narciso Rodriguez, and Isaac Mizrahi. Claire Danes and Selma Blair are amongst her fans.
I just noticed Saks Fifth Avenue's designer sale will continue till December 27, so only days left, most prices will go up after that.
I also saw this realy simple juicy couture dress on sale for $119.20. It's a black wool blend sequin dress. This is a simple elegant dress, you can probably wear it to many occassions. But not exactly what I had in mind for the NYE party.
How about this Marc Jacobs dress. It's a very 1940s look. It's in cricket blue. I can't believe it's on sale for only $78.36. It's a great bargain.

Looking for a dress for NYE

This year we've decided to spend the night at our friend's house party at his flat in downtown. There is a chance that we'll go out from there to a loungey type of place. Currently, I'm searching for a dress online, I want to wear something different, something more exotic this year, something that will stand out. I haven't made up my mind yet. But I will share with you what i have found so far...I think this pale pink dress is very cool. It is by Douchette Duval, the name of the dress is also interesting, it is "Meredith in Pinky". It is on sale for $269.43 on labelspree website. It's around 40% off, the original price is $458. I kinda like this dress, it's like "Pretty in Pink" almost. The dress is 100% silk. I will recommend you guys to check out this brand. They have really cool stuff. It's fairly new brand founded in NYC in 2005. Currently, they do not have too many locations, I bought couple of items online. They specialize in dresses and coats. Watch out for this brand, I think we're going to see more of their stuff on magazines like Elle, In style, and Cosmo!!!

Another dress I liked on this website is by Shumaq. This one is more reasonably priced. It is $89, 65% off, the original price is $254. It is blue and black in zebra prints. This is kinda fun and more casual compared to the first one. It is also made of silk.

Another dress I found is on couture candy's website. It's a black dress but there's an interesting touch on the dress, there's a two tone chiffon ruffle originating on the right shoulder. It's by Zoa Clothing. It looks very simple, but it's different. It's called Tri Colored Wool dress. It's $275.
This one is also a NYC based line. I don't know too much about this brand. But the couture candy website lists a number of celebrities wearing this brand such as Sienna Miller, Kate Moss, Ashlee Simpson...

What shoe is in style?

Get ready for all the holiday parties...Office Christmas party, NYE party, any holiday party of any sort. I would say go to as many holiday parties as you can. This is the best time to celebrate fashion. I have so many dresses in my closet that I don't get to wear a lot..I find this time as an excuse to show what is in my closet :) I advise you do the same..so find any excuse to go to a party, for example go to a friend's office holiday party. Those are the best you get to meet new people on top do some networking! I'm going to my office's holiday party next Tuesday, it will be at a trendy restaurant/bar, I'm looking forward to it...

Check out this Hellz Bellz the Crime Pays Tank in grey, it has the checker print. It's only $76. Hellz Bells is an interesting brand, they say they are inspired by 1960s and 70s New York street fashion. I checked out their website, they actually have a number of red and black checker print stuff this season.
