This is definitely my favorite trend at the moment. I love seeing colorful shapes on dresses, tops, skirts to purses. It definitely makes people watching more interesting;)

I'm back and guess what else is back - the Cut-Outs!!!

This year, cut-outs made a big return. I think last time they were this big was in the early 80s. You will see them from dresses,swimsuits, to shoes.

A Designer Profile: Maxime Simoens

Maxime Simoens is a French designer. He's only 26 years old, but he's starting to get widely recognized. he worked for big desingers like Jean-Paul Gaultier, Ellie Saab, and John Galliano. He founded his company about two years ago. His style is structure with fluidity. Melanie Laurent (French actress in Inglorious Bastards) is a big fan of Maxime Simoens. Currently, he dresses two big characters on Gossip Girl - Blake Lively and Leighton Meester. His 2011 collection consists of embroidered and geometric designs and generally subdued colors with some occasional deep reds.
